You’ve got your audio file and show notes ready to go. Now what? Every podcast needs a hosting website, which is how your show ends up on directories such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

You start by submitting all the podcast data to the hosting site: your podcast title, cover art, show description, categories, etc. The podcast hosting site creates an RSS feed, which is a link that is essentially your podcast home. The next step is to take that link and submit it for distribution on streaming platforms. This hosting site is also where you upload and schedule individual episodes (with their accompanying show notes, transcript, and artwork if applicable) to go live.

I offer end-to-end services for this administrative work一all that’s required from you is to sign up and pay for the monthly hosting subscription (avg. $20/mo). My personal recommendation is Captivate.fm for its user-friendly design, best-in-class dynamic ad insertion, advanced episode analytics, and speedy customer support. However, I have experience with all major hosting sites, including Simplecast, Buzzsprout, Libsyn, Podbean, and more.
